Cookies and measuring visits
Nothing is measured unless you accept
On your first visit this site asks whether it may measure your visit, with two equal choices: Accept and Reject. Until you choose Accept, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set. If you choose Reject, nothing loads, and every tool works the same.
Your choice is kept in your browser, so you are not asked on every page. To change it, use Cookie settings at the foot of any page. Change your cookie settings
What is measured if you accept
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): the pages visited, roughly where in the world a visit came from, the device and browser, and how you arrived. Google's advertising features are switched off, and its data is kept for 14 months.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): how pages are used - clicks, scrolling and mouse movement - shown to us as heatmaps and as recordings of visits. Clarity is set to mask all text, and the rent check is marked to be masked as well.
What is never measured
What you type into the rent check is never sent to either service. A rent you choose to add goes only to DwellDelta, as the Privacy Notice describes - never to Google or Microsoft.
Where it goes
Both services set cookies in your browser, and the data is processed in the United States. They tell us about visits in total; we do not use them to identify you.
