Rents and sale prices by area
Look up the median weekly rent of new leases by postcode, suburb or locality in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, and the median sale price by postcode in New South Wales. Every figure names its source and its quarter. Nothing you type leaves your browser: the page downloads a whole state's file and searches it here.

What this cannot tell you
- These are medians of new bonds or new leases: what newly let homes rent for. They are not advertised rents, and not what sitting tenants pay.
- A median moves with the mix of homes let or sold. A change can be new apartments, or more large houses sold, and not the same homes costing more.
- A postcode is not a suburb, and a Victorian suburb group is several suburbs together. Each figure is for the whole area it names.
- Each state measures in its own way, and the Western Australian medians are calculated by DwellDelta from the Government's bond records. Do not add, average or rank figures across states.
- Small areas rest on few bonds or sales. Where a publisher withholds a figure the page shows a gap, never zero, and small samples are marked.
- Sale prices are for New South Wales only: medians of the homes sold in a quarter. They are not asking prices, not valuations, and not the price or value of any one home.
- South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory are not covered.
- Information, not financial or tenancy advice.
